Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (NX / Teamcenter)

Salary: GBP 40,000–GBP 60,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Siemens NX.
• Manage mechanical design solutions in Teamcenter throughout the product lifecycle.
• Produce manufacturing drawings according to BS8888, GD&T, and related standards.
• Perform stress analysis, engineering calculations, and tolerance stack-up assessments.
• Collaborate with electrical, electronics, manufacturing, and project teams on product integration.
• Support design reviews, prototype assembly, testing, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Proven experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Strong knowledge of 3D CAD modelling, detailed engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience with BS8888 or ASME Y14.5 standards, stress analysis, and tolerance assessments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience from a relevant technical military background.
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain BPSS security clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience with electric motor or power conversion product development.
• Understanding of ECAD and MCAD integration.
• Practical machining experience with conventional workshop equipment.
• Experience assembling and testing engineering prototypes.
