Development Engineering Technician (Battery Manufacturing)

Location: Carson City, Nevada, United States. Full-time onsite role with a split work environment between the office and production facility. Occasional weekends or alternate shifts may be required to support production needs.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and operate laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
• Prepare solutions and conduct wet-chemistry bench experiments.
• Perform chemical analyses, optical measurements, mechanical tests, and powder-handling activities.
• Run, monitor, and troubleshoot experiments in laboratory and high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Support development and validation of new metrology systems and demonstrate their capabilities.
• Document work and follow detailed technical procedures in a fast-paced operational setting.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience building complex mechanical systems, with mechanical design and fabrication experience.
• Laboratory experience with wet chemistry and benchtop experiments.
• Ability to follow procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements while managing shifting priorities.
• Ability to work safely in office and production environments, wear required PPE, and handle exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, communicate clearly, and maintain regular punctual attendance.
