Production Supervisor (Aerospace/Defence Manufacturing)

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, UK. Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions and successfully complete the required level of UK National Security Vetting.

What you will do

• Manage and lead a small team of operations production staff.
• Work with the Production Manager to deliver monthly production plans, agree priorities, and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Manage team attendance, holidays, sickness, timekeeping, discipline, overtime, and individual performance reviews.
• Coordinate shop order paperwork, route cards, turnaround, closure, stock movement, and scanning into the MRP system.
• Run daily team meetings and work with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conforming materials and production issues.
• Maintain effective 6S and FOD programs, ensure safe equipment use, and identify skills gaps across the team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisor or similar role leading a small team.
• Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in the UK without restrictions under UK National Law.
• Willingness to complete appropriate UK National Security Vetting.

Nice to have

• Proven continuous improvement capability or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Three years of experience in an aerospace or defence environment.
• General awareness of IPC workmanship standards.
• Previous experience working with an MRP system.
