Staff Systems Project Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead systems engineering execution for commercial aircraft programs, aligning technical scope, cost, schedule, and delivery milestones.
• Design systems, perform functional analyses and trade studies, define interfaces, and translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Develop system models, requirements models, and simulations to support architectures and product-platform development.
• Define verification and validation approaches, lead subsystem integration and testing, and investigate anomalies.
• Provide technical progress, risk, cost, and schedule reporting, including planning, estimates, performance tracking, and corrective actions.
• Direct offshore or remote engineering resources and contribute to proposals, technical write-ups, and requirements-compliance assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of ARP 4754 and familiarity with DO-178 and DO-331.
• Expertise in requirements engineering, verification and validation, subsystem integration, technical leadership, and control system design.
• Experience managing offshore or remote engineering teams; Control Account Management experience is a bonus.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and requirements-management tools, preferably DOORS; familiarity with SysML or similar tools is a plus.
