Project Engineer (Aerospace)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate projects from the design and qualification phases through to final production and delivery.
• Act as the primary technical interface between cross-functional internal teams and external strategic suppliers.
• Track and report progress against programme metrics including schedule, cost, milestones, and risk.
• Plan and lead supplier technical reviews (PDR, CDR) ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Statements of Work (SOW) and Source Control Documents (SCD).
• Support the transition to production by ensuring manufacturability and adherence to aerospace quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Proven experience in project engineering, technical coordination, or similar roles.
• Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) and aerospace quality systems (e.g., AS9100).
• Ability to travel as required to UK, Asia, and USA to support programme delivery.
• Demonstrated experience working with global teams and suppliers across multiple time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience in a mechanical design or manufacturing engineering role.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment and/or hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and ERP tools (e.g., SAP).
• Proficiency with Power BI and Office 365 tools.
