Data Conversion Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $125K–$140K base compensation, plus bonus

What you will do

• Map, load, validate, and test banking data received in various file formats.
• Manage data conversion efforts for client launches, vendor transitions, and mergers or acquisitions.
• Partner with clients to resolve data-related issues and provide technical consultation through production launch.
• Collaborate with development, services, product, and support teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot system and data issues, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Improve data conversion processes, best practices, scalability, accuracy, and integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with ETL and SQL.
• At least 2 years of experience in the banking or software industry.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and data troubleshooting.
• Experience with JIRA or other agile project management tools.
• Strong communication, presentation, prioritization, multitasking, and independent problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Python.
