Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York City; office attendance is required at least three days per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with occasional additional days for client meetings.

Salary: $140,000–$150,000 annual base salary, plus equity, benefits, and additional perks.

What you will do

• Build flexible, trusted analytical data models and reporting tables using dbt.
• Develop feature pipelines for the data science team and contribute to hirify.global’s ELT pipeline.
• Ingest and model data from new source systems in the cloud data warehouse.
• Improve data quality, testing, documentation, observability, governance, access control, and monitoring.
• Identify Snowflake cost bottlenecks, resolve data quality root causes, and maintain dbt coding standards.
• Partner with analysts, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define metrics, data definitions, and governance standards.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of professional experience in data analytics.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and Kimball methodology.
• 1–2 years of hands-on dbt experience in a production environment.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Familiarity with cloud data loading tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte, or Airflow, plus scripting experience with Python or R.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical work into clear business value.
