Sr. Specialist, Aftersales Cost Monitoring (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The role requires 4–5 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings, company events, and occasional travel.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead annual budget planning, yearly budgeting, and rolling forecasts for Aftersales cost centers, programs, and initiatives.
• Own monthly cost monitoring and deliver variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior-period performance.
• Build cost models, financial tracking tools, forecasting methodologies, dashboards, management reports, and executive presentations.
• Partner with Service Operations, Parts Operations, Warranty, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Digital, and IT teams to identify cost drivers and improve financial performance.
• Validate cost allocations, chargebacks, overhead distributions, vendor invoices, accruals, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.
• Lead cost reviews, track action plans and savings opportunities, support business cases, and maintain cost governance and reporting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in financial analysis, cost controlling, business operations, cost management, or related analytical roles.
• Experience managing operating budgets, cost monitoring, financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting in the automotive industry.
• Advanced proficiency in AI, Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, data analysis, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience developing dashboards, management reports, and executive-level presentations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional Finance and operational environments.

• Experience with OEMs, vehicle brands, dealership networks, retail automotive operations, or aftermarket organizations.
