Financial Analyst (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead budgeting and forecasting for the product development team.
• Analyze actual results against budgets and forecasts, identify variances, and communicate insights to senior management.
• Partner with product development and other cross-functional teams on financial analysis, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
• Support long-term planning and scenario analysis.
• Track product development costs, including materials and capital investments, and recommend cost optimization measures.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and improve FP&A processes and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or similar roles, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• MBA or CFA.
• Experience with Adaptive or NetSuite.
