Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Houston, TX, USA

What you will do

• Lead annual budgeting, monthly and quarterly forecasting, consolidation, and long-range planning across functions.
• Develop and maintain driver-based financial models covering revenue, expenses, headcount, capital expenditures, investments, and risk.
• Analyze P&L performance, cash flow, working capital, trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Lead monthly close reporting, variance analysis, executive reporting packages, and KPI tracking.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, G&A, the VP of Revenue, and the Controller on budgeting, performance management, investment decisions, cost management, and resource allocation.
• Improve FP&A processes, data quality, reporting tools, automation, and scalability while supporting financial risk mitigation and internal controls.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, GAAP, financial statements, and corporate finance principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial software such as SAP, Hyperion, Oracle, or similar, plus business intelligence tools.
• Demonstrated use of AI in a prior role, including both creation and implementation.
• Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, communication, prioritization, collaboration, and stakeholder-influence skills; MBA or CPA is a plus.
