What you will do
- Build tools to classify, onboard, reconcile, and prepare datasets using Python.
- Parse, analyze, validate, and quality-check large datasets.
- Identify anomalies in derived data and trace issues back through data pipelines.
- Automate data-related processes and support researchers with data cleaning and feature engineering.
- Provide proactive oversight of production data pipelines and resolve internal support requests.
- Collaborate with trading, research, data provider, broker, and exchange stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering or data science, or a degree in data science or a related discipline.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and the Linux command line.
- Ability to provide technical support in a production trading environment.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced live trading operation.
Nice to have
- Experience managing ETL pipelines.
- Experience with financial datasets such as Refinitiv, S&P, or Bloomberg.
- Experience using multiple SQL dialects, including PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or MySQL.
