Software Engineer (Data)

Quantitative trading firm developing electronic trading infrastructure, data systems, and market access capabilities through independent trading teams and a global organization.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain large-scale storage, compute, and networking infrastructure for data management.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and systems supporting fundamental data analysis and trading strategies.
• Develop reliable, secure, and scalable data systems handling petabytes of data and tens of thousands of simultaneous requests.
• Collaborate with data scientists, portfolio managers, traders, and IT teams to define requirements and deliver data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5–10 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of network programming, multithreading, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Professional experience with Rust and/or C++, Python, SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases.
• Experience contributing significantly to multiple greenfield projects.
• Familiarity with trading environments, Arrow/Parquet data lake architectures, Iceberg, DuckDB, Acero, Kubernetes, and cloud deployments such as GCP or AWS.
