Junior Electrical Design Engineer (High Voltage Substations)

What you will do

• Contribute to feasibility studies and preliminary designs for high-voltage installations.
• Develop design studies, permit drawings, execution drawings, layouts, equipment plans, and steel structure plans.
• Prepare equipment lists, connection lists, and related technical documentation.
• Coordinate design interfaces with civil works, electrical infrastructure, project engineers, project leaders, and external engineering partners.
• Plan design activities, report progress, support project execution, and contribute to quality reviews and process improvements.
• Help onboard colleagues and perform quality control of external studies when applicable.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in technical design, electrical engineering, electromechanics, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Automation, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and experience with AutoCAD or 3D design software.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a detail-oriented approach.
• Fluent Dutch and English are required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, autonomy, and proactive working habits.
