Lead Talent Partner (Software Engineering)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

Annual salary: $158,000–$237,000, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruiting for Software Engineering from intake and calibration through offer close and handoff.
• Partner with engineering leaders on role scope, leveling, search strategy, and workforce planning.
• Build pipelines and conduct passive-candidate outreach for senior, staff-level, management, and other hard-to-find technical profiles.
• Lead talent mapping for critical, emerging, niche, and incubation engineering needs.
• Use funnel metrics and market insights to diagnose bottlenecks and improve hiring decisions.
• Improve job descriptions, interview design, interviewer alignment, stakeholder expectations, and candidate experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting or talent partnership experience supporting Software Engineering or related technical functions.
• Track record of partnering with senior hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders on complex hiring goals.
• Demonstrated success hiring passive technical talent in competitive markets.
• Strong experience using recruiting data to influence decisions and improve processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage challenging stakeholder dynamics.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in San Francisco, United States.

• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or mission-driven environments.
• Experience with org design, workforce planning, talent mapping, and hiring across senior technical levels.
• Experience improving interview calibration and candidate experience at the function level.
• Familiarity with healthcare, digital health, AI, platform, infrastructure, or other complex technical environments.
