Location: West Wareham, Massachusetts, USA; on-site rotating-shift work

Salary: $108,900–$155,600 USD per annum

What you will do

  • Monitor fuel processing systems and operate boilers, steam turbines, generators, and related steam plant equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, environmental permits, and operational procedures.
  • Approve equipment removal for maintenance, issue safety permits, and oversee clearance processes.
  • Lead and train shift personnel to maintain a skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues, coordinate maintenance activities, and direct emergency response actions.
  • Participate in projects improving plant performance and operating efficiency.

Requirements

  • Massachusetts Second Level Engineer’s License required.
  • At least three years of supervisory or engineering experience in heavy industrial, power generation, or resource recovery environments.
  • Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers, steam turbines, and electric generating equipment.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems used in steam plants.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights or in confined spaces, wearing full-face respirators, and working in varied weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
