Shift Supervisor, Electric Field Operations

Location: Dorchester, Massachusetts, United States. Scheduled shift: 10:00 PM–8:00 AM, with weekends, changing shifts, emergency restoration assignments, travel between MA/CT/NH, and rotational off-hour on-call responsibility.

Annual salary: $126,770–$140,850, with potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead the safe execution of electric field construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency restoration activities.
• Prioritize work and coordinate assigned resources across employees, departments, utilities, contractors, municipalities, and external agencies.
• Set performance expectations, provide feedback, conduct reviews, and address employee performance issues.
• Apply local union contracts and agreements while resolving grievances and employee concerns.
• Maintain construction-ready job packages, material availability, schedules, budgets, records, and district performance reports.
• Serve as a construction liaison and respond to customer issues, outages, storm duty assignments, and critical operational situations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Five or more years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of safe construction, operation, and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution facilities at secondary and primary operating voltages.
• Maintain switching and tagging qualifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, computer, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Valid motor vehicle license required; applicants requiring immigration-related visa sponsorship will not be considered.

• Previous experience in electric distribution.
• Previous supervisory experience.
