Construction Supervisor, Transmission

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts; based in Eastern Massachusetts, with travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary. The position includes system-wide on-call responsibilities and emergency restoration assignments that may require work outside normal hours and locations.

Annual salary: $130,100–$144,560, plus potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Supervise construction field management and inspection activities for transmission lines and substations using contractor resources.
• Directly supervise Transmission Construction Representatives and coordinate with project management, engineering, scheduling, contract administration, legal, purchasing, and field teams.
• Manage construction-phase costs, productivity, schedules, best practices, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor contractor safety and environmental performance and ensure compliance with applicable programs, policies, rules, and regulations.
• Lead safety-awareness initiatives, promote safe work practices, and foster teamwork across transmission and distribution organizations.
• Participate in emergency restoration assignments and system-wide on-call coverage.

Requirements

• Detailed knowledge of transmission construction and transmission power system operations, maintenance, and construction.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable work practices, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or an equivalent qualification.
• Five to ten years of construction, maintenance, or related experience.
• Good human resource management, business planning, written communication, and oral communication skills, plus working knowledge of information technology and office information systems.
• Valid motor vehicle driver’s license required; applicants requiring immigration-related visa sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy delivery and transmission.
• Supervisory experience with both non-bargaining-unit and bargaining-unit employees.
