Senior Environmental Engineer

Location: Florham Park, New Jersey, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

Salary: $109,500–$145,700 USD per annum

What you will do

• Manage environmental performance and emissions databases supporting permitting, analysis, reporting, and benchmarking.
• Lead environmental audit teams, coordinate field audits, communicate findings, and track corrective actions through closure.
• Support environmental permitting and regulatory agency approvals for strategic growth initiatives.
• Provide compliance and regulatory analysis support to facility environmental specialists.
• Track environmental compliance risks and liabilities across operations.
• Develop compliance tools, procedures, standard work, training, and mentoring programs for environmental staff.

Requirements

• BS in engineering, biology, chemistry, environmental science, or a related advanced degree in environmental policy or compliance.
• 5–8 years of progressive professional experience.
• Experience or working knowledge in environmental topics such as air emissions calculations, new source review, permitting, air pollution control, stormwater, and solid or hazardous waste management.
• Advanced skills in data analysis tools, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and interaction with facility personnel, corporate leadership, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to lead and influence outcomes across multiple facilities without direct line authority.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with combustion and air pollution control technology.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and applications.
