Salary: $164,000 – $206,000

What you will do

• Lead environmental and civil engineering for data center site development from initial screening through permitting.
• Drive environmental permitting processes including SWPPP, wetlands, and land disturbance approvals with regulatory agencies.
• Screen prospective sites for fatal flaws such as floodplains, wetlands, or contamination to mitigate development risk.
• Manage third-party civil and environmental consultants to ensure deliverables meet strict schedules and quality standards.
• Coordinate civil design scopes including grading, drainage, and site utilities with structural and architectural teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Austin, TX.
• Proven experience taking industrial or large commercial sites through environmental permitting and regulatory approvals.
• Ability to read and redline grading and drainage plans with specific technical details.
• Experience managing AE and environmental consultants and holding them accountable to project schedules.
• Strong understanding of environmental compliance sequencing against construction timelines.

Nice to have

• PE license (civil or environmental).
• Experience in data center, solar, or heavy industrial site development.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D or hydrology modeling tools.
• Experience with multi-state permitting or brownfield site development.
