Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering

Location: Fully onsite in Centennial, CO; Long Beach, CA; or the SF Bay Area, CA

Base salary: $160,000–$220,000 in Denver, $165,000–$230,000 in Long Beach, or $185,000–$250,000 in the SF Bay Area per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and lead the Infrastructure Engineering team, initially consisting of three senior engineers and expanding into specialized subteams.
• Own the compute platform strategy across commercial, CUI, classified, multi-cloud, and on-premises environments.
• Deliver internally built government-accredited IL-5 and IL-6 compute environments.
• Standardize Kubernetes, multi-tenant cluster design, service mesh, and workload orchestration.
• Partner with platform, network, cybersecurity, AI, and data engineering leaders on architecture and hardened infrastructure.
• Establish infrastructure that can scale across all company programs and reduce reliance on subcontractors.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering, including 3+ years leading teams across multiple technical disciplines.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Hands-on production-scale expertise with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and AWS, Azure, or GovCloud.
• Experience with networking across multi-cloud and on-premises environments, including VPNs, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Experience building or operating DoD-accredited environments at IL-4, IL-5, or higher, with knowledge of NIST 800-53, STIGs, RMF, and ATO processes.
• Experience designing CI/CD platforms and using infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Ansible.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or national security technology.
• Experience operating across unclassified and classified environments with mixed clearance requirements.
• Experience with Istio, Linkerd, GitOps, developer platform tooling, or paved-road operating models.
