Engineering Manager, Platform Infrastructure (AWS/Kubernetes)

Annual pay range: $200,000–$350,000 USD

What you will do

• Set the technical vision for the reliability, scalability, and availability of global cloud infrastructure.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with product management and engineering teams.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance through coding, design reviews, and production issue root-cause analysis.
• Build and lead a new platform infrastructure team through recruiting, mentoring, delegation, and performance management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing, leading, and inspiring engineering teams, including hiring, retention, and performance management.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership and scalable, reliable systems design expertise.
• Experience with Python or Go, backend development workflows, server-side frameworks, and database systems.
• Knowledge of agile software development and project management for complex initiatives.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, or service meshes such as Istio.
• Hands-on leadership of platform teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Experience implementing scalable and reliable solutions with modern cloud and DevOps practices.
