Director, FP&A

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; in-office 3 days per week

Salary: $240,800–$361,200 per year, with a stated midpoint of $301,000.

What you will do

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Prepare financial packages, narratives, and forecast updates for the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
• Own revenue models, pipeline conversion assumptions, cash flow analysis, and scenario planning.
• Implement, administer, and optimize the Drivetrain financial planning platform and related workflows.
• Oversee quarterly metrics reporting, business review packages, and data integrity during financial close.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the FP&A team while advising department heads on budgets, variances, and ROI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another quantitative field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or investment banking, including 2+ years in management or leadership.
• Experience preparing and presenting Board-level financial materials and executive dashboards.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including three-statement modeling, revenue forecasting, and unit economics.
• Hands-on experience with CPM tools such as Anaplan, Pigment, Drivetrain, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders.

Nice to have

• MBA degree.
• CPA designation.
• Experience leading financial software implementations or transitions end to end.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and with BI tools, dashboard creation, and data query logic.
