Business Systems Analyst (NetSuite)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, United States; office attendance is required 3 days per week for the full 8-hour business day.

Salary: $100,800–$151,200 annual salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Support and improve core finance applications, primarily NetSuite and Zip, across Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report processes.
• Triage user issues, manage permissions, execute configuration updates, and document finance systems processes, configurations, and integrations.
• Streamline procurement intake, approval, vendor onboarding, purchasing, contract approval, and payment workflows.
• Enhance NetSuite finance modules, workflows, reports, and integrations to reduce manual work and improve data quality.
• Define and deliver reporting and dashboards for spend, purchasing cycle times, accruals, and other finance metrics.
• Lead systems initiatives through discovery, requirements, design, testing, deployment, change management, and post-launch support while improving SOX-aligned controls and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in a consulting, healthcare, or SaaS environment.
• Strong NetSuite experience, including finance modules, chart of accounts, saved searches, SuiteQL, SuiteCloud Development Framework reports, workflows, integrations, RESTlets, and SuiteScript.
• Strong experience with Zip or similar intake-to-procure and procurement request tools, including queues, workflows, rules, and approval processes.
• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into user stories, process maps, and technical or functional specifications.
• Understanding of general ledger, multi-entity consolidation, intercompany accounting, management reporting, and GAAP/IFRS requirements.
• Technical proficiency with SQL, Python, or scripting languages, plus strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing or scaling Zip or a similar accounts payable system in a growing company.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, ITGC, and public-company finance processes.
• Experience with Avalara, Workday, bank integrations, 3PL carriers, contract lifecycle management, data warehouses, or BI tools.
• Experience with AI solutions and automations.
