Senior Electrical Engineer, PE (Power Systems)

What you will do

• Lead and contribute to the design, coordination, and execution of electrical, instrumentation, and controls projects.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, milestones, and man-hour estimates.
• Design low-, medium-, and high-voltage power distribution systems, transformers, MCCs, substations up to 500kV, grounding, lighting, and lightning protection systems.
• Develop one-line diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, technical specifications, relay protection schemes, PLC control cabinets, and electrical network architectures.
• Conduct load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies using SKM or ETAP, and prepare engineering reports, drawings, calculations, and change requests.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design work, support commissioning and troubleshooting, and train and mentor junior engineers, designers, and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls engineering, preferably in engineering and design consulting.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Strong knowledge of low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems, applicable electrical codes, engineering standards, relay protection, MCCs, transformer systems, grounding, and control cabinets.
• Proficiency with SKM or ETAP and electrical design and drafting tools; ability to review and support drafting work.
• Strong project planning, budget estimation, communication, collaboration, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with transformer monitoring systems and related data analysis.
• Experience interpreting P&IDs and translating them into electrical design requirements.
