Senior Accountant (Cryptocurrency)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid schedule with a minimum of 4 days per week in the office near Union Square

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 annual base salary, plus discretionary annual target bonus, performance incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and review month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Reconcile cryptocurrency wallets, exchanges, and blockchain transactions for accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements with the SEC Reporting team in accordance with applicable accounting principles and cryptocurrency-specific standards.
• Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Coordinate with FP&A on budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
• Lead automation and workflow improvements for balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of public and private accounting experience in financial services, fintech, and/or digital assets.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles; digital asset accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with accounting software and familiarity with blockchain-based financial tools.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Ability to work from the New York City office at least 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Basic understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital asset management.
