Accounting Manager (Cryptocurrency)

Location: Menlo Park, United States; hybrid

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 USD annually, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Lead the preparation, coordination, and review of the month-end close process.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses.
• Support consolidated financial reporting under U.S. GAAP, including foreign subsidiary consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate PCAOB audits, including procedures related to Bitcoin custody controls and blockchain reconciliations.
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and quarterly control compliance.
• Support SOX compliance, CECL modeling, M&A, debt and equity transactions, and adoption of new accounting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and CPA certification.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, including U.S. GAAP experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, financial reporting standards, and memo creation.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency for SEC filings and disclosure preparation.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills, with experience implementing accounting standards and complex reporting processes.

Nice to have

• Big Four or national accounting firm experience serving financial services or technology clients.
• Experience leading an accounting team and closing books on time.
• Experience with multi-business-unit companies, segment reporting, or SOX compliance.
