Junior Data Center Technician (AI)

Location: Santa Clara, United States; on-site work required with 8-hour shift rotation covering 24/7 operations

Salary: USD 60,000–76,000 annually

What you will do

• Install and maintain servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and structured cabling.
• Replace failed drives, fans, power supplies, motherboards, CPUs, and other hardware components.
• Rack and stack servers, switches, and supporting equipment.
• Install, route, label, and test copper and fibre cabling.
• Trace faults to failing components and perform general physical site checks.
• Receive and inventory hardware and support day-to-day site operations.

Requirements

• Hands-on technical or operations experience in a data center, critical environment, or adjacent technical trade.
• Practical aptitude for hardware work, including component-level tasks and rack and stack operations.
• Basic understanding of network links, copper cabling, and fibre cabling.
• Methodical, step-by-step approach to troubleshooting.
• Operational discipline and willingness to stop and escalate when unsure.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site in a rotating shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Exposure to liquid cooling or GPU hardware.
• Interest in fibre optics and link-level troubleshooting.
