Data Center Technician

Location: Lynnwood, Washington, United States; 100% onsite. The role includes up to 10% travel to other data center locations and requires responding to onsite equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes during scheduled on-call shifts.

Salary: $65,000–$83,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain data center operations to support service availability, reliability, and defined service levels.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, networking, and software failures, including root-cause analysis.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and inventory server and networking equipment.
• Develop scripts for updating server and networking hardware.
• Provide technical support and training to data center teams.
• Create documentation and maintain test and tool equipment.

Requirements

• Hands-on or education-based experience with computer hardware troubleshooting, assembly, and repair.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 environment, including rotating on-call shifts.
• Ability to lift and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and work in cramped, elevated, hot, and cold aisle environments.
• Strong time management, organizational, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information as a U.S. person, through an exemption, or through likely authorization.

Nice to have

• Data center and computer networking experience.
• Python, Bash, or other scripting experience.
• Experience with Cisco IOS or Juniper JunOS.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
