Design Specialist (Interior Design)

Location: Larkspur, California, United States; in-store role with in-home consultations and off-site trade meetings as needed

Salary: $25.00–$26.00 per hour, plus uncapped commission on shipped items and potential performance-based incentives

What you will do

• Deliver personalized design consultations and recommend furniture solutions based on client needs.
• Build relationships with clients, trade professionals, and the local design community.
• Meet sales KPIs including revenue, conversion, and client retention targets.
• Guide clients through product selection, space planning, and styling.
• Manage the client lifecycle with CRM tools and outreach strategies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and conduct in-home consultations or off-site trade meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Professional experience in design-oriented sales and a passion for modern interiors.
• Experience in retail sales, design consulting, or customer success is preferred.
• Background in interior design, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills in client needs assessment, problem-solving, relationship building, Microsoft Office, and design tools such as SketchUp or AutoCAD.
• Ability to lift more than 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.
