Senior Interior Designer

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; travel is required for nationwide projects across the United States.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually, approximately, not adjusted for location.

A multidisciplinary design firm delivering corporate, hospitality, entertainment, healthcare, industrial, higher education, residential, and adaptive-reuse projects in collaboration with its parent construction and development company.

What you will do

• Engage clients and management teams to define spatial programs, project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
• Develop overall design concepts, material palettes, furniture specifications, and 2D and 3D presentation packages.
• Lead technical design coordination, recommend technical solutions and product strategies, and prepare final documents for authority submission.
• Oversee construction administration and coordinate activities with internal teams and external consultants.
• Lead client presentations, support proposals and pursuit interviews, and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Represent the firm at community and industry events while coaching and mentoring colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture.
• 10+ years of experience in interior design and architecture.
• Portfolio demonstrating design and technical capabilities.
• Active professional registration as an architect or interior designer.
• Competence with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, presentation, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
