Assistant Reconditioning Manager (EV)

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Run daily reconditioning floor operations for an assigned shift or zone while meeting throughput, quality, and cost targets.
• Inspect units against quality standards and manage handoffs across ingress, inspection, repair, detailing, and photography stages.
• Supervise, coach, and onboard frontline technicians, provide competency-based feedback, and address skill gaps.
• Track work-in-progress limits, escalate stalled units and vendor SLA misses, and support root-cause problem-solving.
• Execute SOPs, run daily standups and shift handoffs, and support scheduling, floor coverage, and vendor coordination.
• Enforce health, safety, and compliance standards around vehicles and shop equipment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role in automotive, reconditioning, or lean manufacturing environments.
• Experience running floor operations and coaching frontline technicians.
• Working knowledge of lean principles, including 5S, kaizen, and WIP limits.
• Ability to use operational data, dashboards, KPIs, and production reports for same-day decisions.
• Knowledge of dealership management systems and inventory software.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends during the launch phase.

Nice to have

• Understanding of EV systems and high-voltage safety.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience.
