Field Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; client deployments may be virtual or in person. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship and ready to work in the U.S. from the first day.

Salary: $119,000–$149,000 base salary, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Deploy to client sites virtually or in person to build integrations, automations, and data pipelines using APIs, ADX, Databricks, and modern engineering tools.
• Design production-grade solutions that improve client onboarding, reduce time-to-value, and support operational scale.
• Build AI, LLM, and machine learning automation for data transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Own ADX implementations and design Databricks-based data infrastructure for onboarding and analytics.
• Lead technical workstreams from discovery and requirements gathering through prototyping, delivery, and production deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Services teams to develop reusable tools, frameworks, and platform improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or forward-deployed technical roles.
• Advanced Python proficiency and experience building production applications, REST API integrations, and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, distributed data processing, SQL, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and working with complex financial data, including portfolio management and performance analytics.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and LLM-driven automation, plus Git, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, and client-facing collaboration skills in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
