Software Developer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, California, or Virginia. Washington residents within reasonable driving distance of Tukwila are expected at headquarters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; other approved remote locations are remote.

Salary: $117,200–$143,200 target annual pay range; full annual range of $91,000–$169,400. Performance-based compensation incentives are also available.

What you will do

• Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and production solutions across the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze business requirements, assess downstream system impacts, and recommend technical solutions with business stakeholders.
• Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and improvements to existing systems.
• Automate business processes and support initiatives that improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and user experience.
• Review code, contribute to development standards, and collaborate with architects and technical leaders on technology roadmaps.
• Support production deployments and critical banking applications through an on-call rotation, troubleshooting and resolving incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of experience designing software, writing production code, analyzing business requirements, and translating them into technical solutions.
• Experience delivering scalable solutions across multiple programming languages and technical environments.
• Experience with cloud technology, .NET, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, object-oriented programming and design, and continuous integration and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps Services, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
• Residence in one of the approved states is required; regular headquarters attendance is required for eligible Washington residents within commuting distance of Tukwila.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Fiserv DNA core banking platform and production troubleshooting.
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and partnering across business and technical teams.
• Knowledge of Linux, Bash, open-source technologies, YAML deployment pipelines, test-driven development, unit testing, and Git workflows.
• Experience with relational and non-relational data modeling, data analysis, and static code analysis for secure coding.
