Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY; the role also references East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO

Salary: $105,000–$135,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and develop electrical test equipment, assemblies, and processes.
• Develop hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems.
• Lead test equipment development in consultation with internal customers.
• Validate concepts through trade studies, analyses, experimentation, and testing.
• Integrate electronic components into higher-level systems and test completed designs.
• Prepare technical documentation, maintain engineering records, estimate development work, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on electrical design experience, preferably with test equipment, controls, or similar systems.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Self-motivation, critical thinking, strong analytical skills, and effective communication.
• Ability to work onsite in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with DOORS.
• Aerospace industry experience.
