Technical Lead (Logistics Software)

Location: Based in either the Houston, TX or Philadelphia, PA office

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a development team delivering logistics software.
• Provide hands-on technical direction through architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and active development.
• Plan and prioritize work in an agile delivery model while balancing feature velocity, maintainability, and technical debt reduction.
• Modernize legacy frameworks and patterns by establishing maintainable architectures, frameworks, tooling, and engineering standards.
• Own solution delivery from requirements gathering through production support and enhancement.
• Coordinate business, IT, vendor, and regional stakeholders, acting as an escalation point for complex production issues.

Requirements

• Experienced technical leadership in software development, including architecture, design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
• Ability to lead and develop engineers through structured feedback, career planning, and knowledge-sharing.
• Experience with agile delivery, capacity planning, estimation, resourcing, and distributed delivery models.
• Ability to establish engineering metrics and drive improvements in delivery velocity, quality, and stability.
• Experience with change management, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality gates, and peer review practices.
• Ability to work from either the Houston, TX or Philadelphia, PA office.

• Experience evaluating new tools, frameworks, and AI-assisted development practices.
