What you will do

• Lead, coach, and manage engineers and contract resources responsible for enterprise developer experience and SDLC platform services.
• Set team priorities, staffing strategies, performance expectations, career development plans, and succession planning activities.
• Provide technical direction for GitLab source control, CI/CD, GitLab Duo, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, Mend, IDE integrations, developer portals, and self-service platforms.
• Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for enterprise developer experience and platform engineering capabilities.
• Drive standards for source control, code review, CI/CD, test automation, software quality, supply chain security, and release management.
• Oversee platform reliability, security, scalability, observability, governance, incident response, vendor management, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including at least 4 years in engineering or architecture and 3 years in leadership.
• Experience leading engineering teams responsible for enterprise platforms, DevOps, platform engineering, developer experience, or software development tooling.
• Experience managing complex technology initiatives and cross-functional engineering programs.
• Experience providing technical leadership for large-scale developer platforms and software delivery ecosystems.
• Strong organizational, leadership, stakeholder management, decision-making, and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience leading enterprise developer experience, DevOps, platform engineering, Internal Developer Platform, or SDLC tooling organizations.
• Strong knowledge of GitLab SCM, GitLab CI/CD, GitLab Duo, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and Mend.
• Knowledge of cloud engineering, DevSecOps, software supply chain security, and AI-assisted software development.
• Experience with DORA metrics, service-level objectives, engineering productivity metrics, and developer experience measurements.
• Experience building high-performing engineering teams and leading cultural and technical transformation.
