PVD Process Support Engineer II (Semiconductor)

Location: Kamimashiki, Japan. Relocation eligible; travel required up to 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Provide customer support through on-site installations, system diagnosis, service, and repair of complex semiconductor equipment.
• Work with customers and R&D teams to develop advanced processes for semiconductor chip manufacturing.
• Create hypothesis experiments and design of experiments, analyze data statistically, and prepare reports with high-level conclusions.
• Troubleshoot complex process and product issues and perform root cause analyses.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to establish trust and achieve technical goals.
• Apply process and customer knowledge to analyze problems and develop solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in the semiconductor fabrication or equipment industry.
• English communication proficiency required.
• Availability for travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
