Senior Software Engineer - Java (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role in Bucharest, Romania; candidates must be commutable to Bucharest.

What you will do

• Evaluate, scope, propose, and build product features that address business solution requirements.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity researchers, software engineers, product managers, and leadership to define and deliver product capabilities.
• Contribute to platform technology evolution, architecture design, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop secure systems and work with security and IT professionals to follow safe architecture practices.
• Advance quality engineering processes and deliver reliable products and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant professional experience.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years with Java.
• 3+ years contributing to system design or architecture and 4+ years with object-oriented programming and design.
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot, plus cloud-native application development and cloud technologies.
• Experience with databases, Hibernate or other ORM frameworks, Ant or Maven, REST and GraphQL APIs, and Linux development.
• Knowledge of TDD, CI/CD tooling, Agile methodologies, asynchronous tasks or queues such as AMQ and Redis, and production observability and monitoring.
