Java Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within Romania

What you will do

• Research technologies and propose efficient software solutions aligned with client requirements and business objectives.
• Develop high-quality Java applications and apply modern Java features to introduce advanced capabilities.
• Build and maintain REST services, persistence layers, and microservices-based solutions.
• Apply hexagonal architecture and domain-driven design in software development.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on containerization, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and engineering-standard improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Good knowledge of Java 8 or above, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, REST web services, JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with hexagonal architecture, domain-driven design, and microservices architecture.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including debugging and source control.
• Advanced English communication skills, written and spoken. Regular use of AI tools and responsible validation of AI-generated outputs are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools, and Apache Kafka or comparable messaging platforms.
