Java Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop and implement user stories for the Cash & Liquidity Unite Engine (CLUE) and other payment services.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from initial analysis and coding to release and support.
• Perform unit testing and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ensure all deliverables comply with ING IT Risk requirements and documentation.
• Coordinate activities and collaborate with global teams in Amsterdam, Mumbai, and Manila.
• Participate in all Scrum rituals, including stand-ups, retrospectives, and refinements.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of Java development (Java 17 and Java 21).
• Proficiency with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and message-driven architectures.
• Strong experience in TDD, BDD, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (preferably Azure DevOps) and XML/XSL/XSD.
• English: Advanced proficiency (C1) required.

Nice to have

• Experience with PL/SQL and relational database development.
• Knowledge of Apache Camel.
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Previous project experience in financial market group treasury.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an IT-related field.
