Technical Project Manager Energy Generation (Energy Projects): Leading the delivery of large-scale on-site energy generation projects from planning and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up with an accent on multidisciplinary coordination, EPC execution, and stakeholder management. Focus on controlling schedules, budgets, risks, technical documentation, regulatory compliance, and project interfaces through handover to operations and maintenance.
Location: Mechelen, Belgium; hybrid work model with on-site presence depending on the project phase

What you will do
- Lead the delivery of large-scale on-site energy generation projects from planning and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
- Act as the primary technical interface between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in DBOO projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and interfaces with development, commercial, procurement, and legal functions.
- Manage schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and change control processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, environmental requirements, and HSE policies.
- Review technical specifications and engineering deliverables, monitor performance, lead progress reviews, and support handover to Operations & Maintenance.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Senior-level experience in technical project management within energy, power generation, or industrial infrastructure.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale energy generation projects, with strong knowledge of EPC and/or multi-lot execution.
- Fluent Dutch at C2 level and English at C1 level are required.
- Willingness to travel and work on site according to the project phase.
Nice to have
- Project Management certification such as PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- Experience with permitting processes in Belgium and/or the Netherlands.
- Additional language skills.
