Supplier Quality/APQP Engineer

Location: Hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and flexible location on Fridays. The role can be based in Davidson, North Carolina; La Crosse, Wisconsin; or Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Travel to supplier locations may be required, up to 20%.

Salary: $84,740.00–$118,860.00 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Improve supplier performance by developing process capability and quality systems.
• Manage customer quality complaints, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Support new product projects and design-change approvals through AIAG-aligned PPAP and APQP processes.
• Review first articles, packaging, part measurements, verification, validation results, supplier deviations, and design or process changes.
• Coordinate containment, problem solving, root cause analysis, and technical support with distribution and cross-functional teams.
• Analyze failure data, support supplier development and audits, manage assigned projects, and improve supply quality maturity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of quality or quality engineering experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience with advanced quality planning, supplier quality, or supplier development.
• Knowledge of Lean, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP.
• Ability to investigate root causes, drive corrective and preventive actions, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and apply tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, and CTQ characteristics.
• Ability to travel up to 20% as needed; this is a safety-sensitive role and may require additional drug screening.
