Container Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Houston, TX; work at hirify.global and customer locations such as refineries

Salary: $14.90–$34.62 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, repair, fabricate, cut, weld, grind, and patch or replace tarps on roll-off containers.
• Perform compliance and safety inspections, equipment corrections, and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paint or similar coatings using HVLP, airless, or manual tools.
• Maintain welding systems, repair equipment, shop tools, facilities, and housekeeping standards.
• Record time and materials in the electronic repair order system and keep the service truck clean and hazard-free.

Requirements

• Experience with MIG and stick welding and mechanical repair in a fabrication or repair shop.
• Experience with flat steel welding and successful completion of a structural welding test.
• Ability and willingness to wear a respirator; clean-shaven appearance is required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean three-year driving record.
