General Maintenance

Location: McDonough, Georgia, United States; onsite warehouse role

Salary: $22.50–$24.00 per hour, with potential overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and a peak season bonus of up to $1,200

What you will do

• Maintain and repair the warehouse building, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
• Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance, pre-operation checks, and safety-device inspections.
• Operate floor sweepers and scrubbers to maintain facility floors.
• Manage battery-changing stations and replace lift batteries where applicable.
• Handle hazardous materials according to OSHA and hirify.global safety procedures.
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, records, and other operational documentation.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and basic experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and computers.
• Experience safely operating warehouse equipment such as aerial lifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Ability to bend, lift, stretch, crawl, reach, climb ladders and gangways, and repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled, and sometimes unlit environment.
• Flexibility to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Battery charger or battery changer experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
