Maintenance Technician

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify commercial building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Service pumps, valves, controls, machinery, grounds equipment, fire alarms, fire pumps, and related life-safety systems.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventive maintenance.
• Repair building finishes and perform painting, carpentry, snow removal, and other property maintenance duties.
• Respond to emergencies and tenant service requests, escalating issues that require outside contractors.
• Prepare penthouse furniture configurations and oversee scheduled weekend tenant events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, painting, plumbing, carpentry, engine repair, or a related area.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record; a commercial license may be required.
• Basic proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, computers, mobile devices, web applications, and building automation systems.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, standby, and on-call assignments, including extended periods without relief during emergencies.
