Maintenance Technician

Location: New York, NY; onsite, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Salary: $33.87–$34.87 per hour

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across carpentry, painting, electrical, janitorial equipment, HVAC, and vehicle or golf cart systems.
• Perform routine, predictive, and preventive maintenance on floor equipment, scrubbers, chariot vacuums, extractors, and related machinery.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and complete repairs using hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts.
• Maintain clean work areas, maintenance logs, and service schedules.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and communicate technical issues professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
• Follow industrial safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Requirements

• At least six months of company-based maintenance experience or equivalent training in plumbing, painting, HVAC, construction, or a related field.
• At least two years of electrical experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
• Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and work with ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts.
• Completion of required safety, environmental, task training, and certifications.
• A valid driver’s license, forklift certification, or electric pallet jack certification may be required.
