HVAC Chiller Technician - Journeyman (HVAC)

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Field-based role with work conducted on-site at customer locations.

What you will do

• Service and assemble 50- to 4000-ton chillers and DX units.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair HVAC equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, equipment replacements, and system modifications.
• Test chillers, perform point-to-point testing, start up and commission assigned equipment.
• Use diagnostic software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and coworkers while working shifts, overtime, and on call as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or an accredited technical school completion certificate.
• Preferably 5+ years of HVAC experience and formal technical training.
• Knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and schematics.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record required.
