Software Engineer – Cato Apps Team (AI)

What you will do

• Design and develop Cato's agentic infrastructure and highly scalable AI-native end-to-end services.
• Build backend logic, service integrations, and AI-first products such as Cato's AI Assistant.
• Deliver features across frontend, backend, and persistence layers, including deployment and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, product managers, and UX designers on intelligent and conversational AI capabilities.
• Develop AI-based automation, autonomous workflows, and insight-generation capabilities across the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software-development experience, with strong Java fundamentals and experience building backend services and APIs.
• Experience contributing to full-stack web applications, including Java backend services, React frontend development, and databases.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, microservices, CI/CD, containerized deployments, and production monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered applications or LLM APIs.
• A curious, collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
