HVAC Project Developer

Location: Willowbrook, Illinois, United States. Onsite Monday through Thursday; Fridays offer flexible work location. Some travel within the Midwest, including occasional overnight stays, is required.

Annual base salary: $91,516.66–$128,379.99. Incentive eligible; not eligible for sales commission.

What you will do

• Lead energy, infrastructure, and facility modernization opportunities from qualification through contract execution.
• Assess mechanical, electrical, and building systems to identify operational risks, deferred maintenance, lifecycle opportunities, and capital improvement needs.
• Develop HVAC modernization, building automation, energy efficiency, electrification, sustainability, resilience, renewable energy, and intelligent building solutions.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, estimators, operations teams, consultants, trade partners, and utilities to improve constructability and reduce delivery risk.
• Build business cases covering lifecycle costs, funding strategies, energy performance, operational impact, and return on investment; quantify and submit utility rebates.
• Lead customer presentations, design reviews, workshops, solution discussions, and project transitions while supporting project teams and early-career colleagues.

Requirements

• Proficiency in mechanical HVAC systems.
• Basic knowledge of energy, building design, estimating, and construction.
• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, construction, engineering technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions during the previous three years.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday and travel within the Midwest as required.
