Maintenance Manager

Location: Chicago Westmont, United States. The position requires verification of authorization to work in the U.S.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year.

What you will do

• Direct, schedule, supervise, and perform preventive maintenance, repairs, service response, and assigned projects.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and subcontractor performance for mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
• Work with property management and the Chief Engineer on building services, budgets, project planning, tenant improvements, and emergency plans.
• Respond to tenant and service requests and manage the ordering and approval of building supplies and materials.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend rotations.
• Supervise three to five maintenance engineers or technicians.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of experience in commercial or industrial building operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance in commercial buildings and equipment.
• Understanding of energy management systems and experience working within budget constraints.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, physical ability to perform lifting, overhead work, ladder use, and outdoor tasks.
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and computerized maintenance management systems.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting healthcare facilities or other regulated environments.
• Universal CFC, SMA, SMT, LEED, or other applicable certifications.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and basic controls.
• High proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital maintenance tools.
